Clan Roles

Clans can have up to 50 players, and consist of 4 different ranks. Tapping a Clanmate's info screen will give you various options, depending on your rank.
Member
Joining or rejoining a Clan, you will automatically give you Member status. Even if you were an Elder, Co-Leader or Leader in another or the same Clan before, when you join a Clan you will always start as a Member.
Elder
The Elder has more responsibilities than a Member, but less than a Co-Leader or Leader. Elders can:
- Invite players to join the Clan
- Accept players into the Clan
- Kick out Clan Members (once every 20 minutes)
Co-leader
The Co-leader has more responsibilities than an Elder but less than a Leader. Co-leaders can:
- Invite players to the Clan
- Accept players into the Clan
- Promote and demote Clan Elders
- Promote new Co-Leaders
- Kick out Clan Members and Elders
- Send messages to the whole Clan. Remember, there is a 1 hour cooldown period until you can write a message again.
- Can start a Clan War and decide who participates in it.
Leader
The Leader of the Clan has the most responsibility and can make the most decisions. Leaders can:
- Invite players to join the Clan
- Accept and decline requests to join the Clan
- Promote and demote Clan Elders and Co-leaders
- Demote themselves as Leader and give leadership to a Co-leader. Do so with caution as all leadership responsibilities will be lost.
- Send messages to the whole Clan. Remember there is a 1 hour cooldown period until you can write a message again.
- Can start a Clan War and decide who participates in it.
Get Chattin’
Use tags in the Clan Chat to get the attention of certain Clanmates:
‘@clan’ notifies everyone in the Clan
‘@leaders’ notifies all Co-leaders and the Leader
‘@[player name]’ notifies specific player
Be Careful Who You Promote!
Promoting members gives them significant responsibilities. If they aren’t prepared for the role or don’t take it seriously, it could have a negative effect on your Clan. Screen your members carefully and promote only those you know and trust.
For example, Co-leaders can kick almost anybody in the Clan. Elders can kick out Members. This leaves a lot of room for dirty politics if handled improperly.
Kicking people for no reason might be a mean thing to do, but it’s not against the rules. So, preventing it is up to you!
We can’t retroactively change Clan dynamics in the event of one bad apple. We like each Clan to be independent.
I Lost My Leader Status!
If a Clan leader is inactive for 60 days, a message will be sent to all Clanmates informing them of an upcoming Leader rotation. The Leader will then have a further 30 days to log back in and prevent the rotation. If not, the highest ranking/longest serving Elder or Co-leader will be promoted to Leader.
My Clan Leader is Inactive
Worry not! As mentioned above, if a Clan Leader is inactive for 60 days, the Clan Leader rotation process will begin. This ensures that no Clan becomes dormant due to an absent Leader.
