Multiplayer matchmaking attempts to pit you against players with a similar number of Trophies.
Gain Trophies by successfully attacking or defending against other players. The number of Trophies you win or lose is based on the Trophy difference between you and your opponent.
When attacking or defending against a player with a similar number of Trophies as you, the number of Trophies that you will gain or lose is calculated as follows:
Attacking
1-star victory: +1 Trophy
2-star victory: +7 Trophies
3-star victory: +22 Trophies
Defeat: -7 Trophies
Defending
1-star loss: -1 Trophy
2-star loss: -7 Trophies
3-star loss: -22 Trophies
Victory +7 Trophies
When attacking or defending against a player with a much higher or lower Trophy count, the potential for gaining and losing Trophies is increased. The maximum number of Trophies you can win or lose for a 3-star victory or defeat is 44.
In some cases, it’s possible to win or lose 0 Trophies, such as from a Revenge attack. This happens when a player’s Trophy count has significantly risen or fallen since the initial attack.
